Janie Ruth McEntyre Grogan

Janie Ruth McEntyre Grogan, age 77 of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.

Janie was born on February 19, 1947, in Calhoun, GA, the daughter of the late Loraine “Fat” McEntyre and Beulah Cobb McEntyre. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Carolyn McEntyre. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Janie was a lifelong resident of Calhoun and was a longtime owner of the Tot Roost.

Janie is survived by: her husband, L.C. Grogan; daughter, Cam (Bart) Daniel; son, Stewart (Melody) Grogan; grandchildren, Alexis (Matt) Conley, Andrew (Alex) Daniel, Cody (Rachael) Grogan, Janie Elizabeth (Caleb) Griffin, and Cord Grogan; brother, Jack (Ellen) McEntyre; and sister, Judy (Thom) Smith.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 2 PM until 3 PM at Heritage Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 3 PM at Heritage Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Parrott and Reverend Robbie Garmon officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving include: Andrew Daniel, Cody Grogan, Cord Grogan, Caleb Griffin, Matt Conley, and Sebastian Gorsuch.
