Jason Boyd West

Jason Boyd West, age 33 of Armuchee, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Jason was born on May 22, 1985 in Dalton, GA to Robin Boyd West and Dania Timms West. He had attended Gordon Central High School and graduated from Savannah High School class of 2002. Jason was an Iraq War Veteran serving in the United States Army’s 101st Airborne. He was a member of the American Legion where he was also a member of the Legion Riders. Jason worked as a manager for Mohawk. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis Elaine West and Hershel Timms and Cora Beets Timms. Jason is survived by his parents, Robin and Dania West; wife, Jennifer Cloer West; daughter, Julie West; grandparents, Charles “Chuck” West and his wife Donna and his uncle, Ray West and his wife Melanie. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday May 15th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Dwaine Shadix officiating. Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery with military honors. The Legion Riders will serve as pallbearers and honorary escorts along with the Iron Order Motor Cycle Club.
