Jerry Carlton Ward

Jerry Carlton Ward, age 79 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at his residence.

Jerry was born on May 12, 1942 in Gordon County, a son of the late Henry Carlton Ward and Clara Irene Parker Ward. In addition to his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by a brother James Ward and his wife Judy Ward. He was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and was formerly employed at Horizon and later Constantine Carpet Mills. Jerry was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Ward of Calhoun; one brother, Larry Ward and his wife, Joy; two sisters, Glenda Goble and her husband Jimmy and Mary Curry and her husband Beau.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 4 PM in the Ward family lot of Chandler Cemetery with the Reverend Greg Burgner officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 2 PM until 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
