Jessie Mae Hartley

Jessie Mae Hartley, age 90 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Jessie was born on January 25, 1929 in Gordon County, GA to the late Fred Russell Hartley and Willie Mae Sullivan Hartley. In addition to her parents, Jessie was also preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Russell Hartley. Jessie was a lifetime resident of Gordon County, GA, and was the oldest member of the Calhoun Community Church. She enjoyed yard work and baking and delivering food to others. Jessie loved life and people, and was a grandmother to many. Jessie is survived by: two sisters, Marie Jarrett and Mildred Sutherland; nieces and nephews, Susan (Ricky) Boswell, Jason (Kacee) Jarrett, Sharon (Mark) Leberman, Terry (Misty) Sutherland, Mike (Vicki) Sutherland, Kim McBee, Keila (Tracy Gowens, Traci (Jim) Black, and Ronald (Debra) Hartley. Several great-nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, February 23rd at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Reid and Reverend Jerry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 AM until the funeral hour at 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. Pallbearers serving are: Jason Jarrett, Michael Sutherland, Terry Sutherland, Ronald Hartley, Mark Leferman, and Paxton Jarrett.
