Joey Eugene Murphy

Mr. Joey Eugene Murphy, age 61 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 1st, 2026 at Advent Health Gordon. 

Mr. Murphy was born in Rome, Georgia on March 4th, 1965, a son of the late Joseph Eugene Murphy and Joann Hale Leonard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Richard C. Stiehl and Sandra D. Stiehl. Mr. Murphy was of the Baptist fatih. He enjoyed wokring on his bicycle and small motors. Prior to retiring, he worked for Atrium Health Floyd. 

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Murphy; three sons, John Eric Murphy, Richard Murphy, Dewayne Murphy; one brother, Gary Murphy; one granddaughter, Saphira Murphy. 

Mr. Murphy was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
