Joseph William Eaker

Joseph William Eaker, age 37, of Rydal, GA, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at his residence.

Joseph was born on October 17, 1988, in Chattanooga, TN, the son of Joey Lawrence Eaker and the late Kathy Geraldine Carpenter. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Bessie Arlen Hall, and grandfather, Sidney Lee Eaker. Joseph was a graduate of Calhoun High School, Class of 2007, where he played football. He was an avid fan of the University of Georgia and the Atlanta Braves. Joseph was a member of Northside Church of Christ. He was always very polite and well-mannered and loved his family dearly.

Joseph is survived by his father, Joey (Holly) Eaker; daughter, Harper Eaker; fiancé, Celina Womack; grandparents, William and Elizabeth Carpenter; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 29th at Northside Church of Christ from 5-6 pm, and the celebration of Joseph's life will follow at 6 pm with Rev. Ron Hall and Rev. Kent Bailey officiating. 

The family requests that everyone wear Red and Black in honor of Joseph's love for UGA football.
