Wednesday, January 31, 2007 Mrs. Julia Lou Moss Hunt, age 82 of the Red Bud Community died at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Gordon County on January 25, 1925, daughter of the late G.D. Moss Sr. and Clara Knight Moss and had spent her entire life here. She was a homemaker and member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Hunt, July 9, 2006, a son; Larry David Hunt, and a brother Samuel E. Moss. She is survived by one son, Reverend Michael Hunt and his wife, Janice, two daughters, Freda Hunt Glass and her husband Elvin, Delilah Hunt Baxter and her husband Brock all of the Red Bud Community; Four brothers; G.D. Moss and his wife, Alice of Chattanooga., James Moss and his wife, Ila of Calhoun, Truett Moss and his wife, Yvonne of Ranger, and Lawrence Moss and his wife, Margie also of Ranger. One sister; Clara Bess Weaver of Calhoun, a sister-in-law; Hazel Moss of Calhoun , grandchildren, Reverend Jamey Hunt and his wife, Leann, Reverend Wesley Hunt and his wife, Heather, Seth Hunt and his financee, Miranda Pulver, Paige Mullinax and her husband, Kevin, Julie Nesbitt and her husband, Grant, and Kate Baxter; great grandchildren, Madison Hunt, Noah Hunt, Cooper Hunt, Gavin Nesbitt, Bailey Nesbitt, and Ethan Nesbitt; one step-grandchild; Dennis Glass and his wife, Melissa , four step-great-grandchildren and four caregivers; Karen Kirby, Arlene Brandon, Kathryn Smith and Ruth Williams. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday February 2 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Hunt, Rev. Wesley Hunt and Rev. Jamey Hunt officiating. Roger DeVaughn will have charge of music, and interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Barry Brock conducting the graveside services. Pallbearers serving include Richard, Gregory and David Weaver, Ken Greeson, Kevin Mullinax, Frank Campbell and Johnny Mack Thompson; they are asked to meet at the Church at 12:45 P.M. on Friday. The women of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will serve an honorary escort and are asked to meet at the Church at 1:45 P.M. on Friday. The body will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 1:00 until the funeral hour on Friday.
