Larry Gene Morrison

Larry Gene Morrison, age 82 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at The Oaks in Fairmount.

Larry was born on November 6, 1943 in Dermott, Arkansas, son of the late Claude Morrison and Lavester Holland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters: Blanche Ward, Betty Lou Connard, Joyce Hall, and Becky Davis; and brother, Wendall Morrison. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and just working with his hands. He was a master storyteller and loved spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by: his wife, Wanda Gossage Morrison; two daughters, Lee (Aubrey) Harper and Anne (Lee) Ewton; two sons, Jon Morrison and Ian (Stephanie) Morrison; one step-son, Bryan (Dodie) Allen; eight grandchildren, Ayden Morrison, Madeline (Emanuel) Nafcha, Samuel Morrison, Drew Harper, Gavin Harper, Brianna (Steven) Dutton, Callie (Logan) Jones, and Noah (Chloe) Allen; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
