Letha L. Sanford

Letha L. Sanford, age 87 of Calhoun, died Sunday morning January 17, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Letha was born July 14, 1928 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Clifford Greeson and Nellie Baynes Greeson. She was a member of the Welcome Gap Baptist Church and was an employee of Georgia Textile prior to her retirement. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman “Doc” Sanford, her daughter, Kathy Ann Fite, sister, Ethal Sisson and a brother, J.D. Greeson. Survivors include, two daughters; Brenda Dunn and Sandi Talley and her husband Ken, two sons; Shane Fite and Mike Fite and his wife Donna, one sister; Martha Green and her husband El. Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving include Gregg Dodd, Craig Dodd, Dale Williams, Brent Williams, Anthony McDaniel, and Gregory Dodd.
