Saturday, February 03, 2007 Mrs. Lorraine E. Mosteller, age 68, of Bartow County and formerly of Calhoun. Died Saturday morning in Heartland Hospice. Following an extended illness. Lorraine was born in San Luis Obispo, Ca., on May 21, 1938. Daughter of the late Johnny and Juanita Keller Cardoza. She had retired after 25 years from the Cobb Wellstar Hospital as Director of the Neurodiagnostic Sleep Center. She was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Doris Lee Mosteller in March of 2006, a daughter, Terri Mathis in March 1989, two brothers, Johnny Cardoza and Burnis Walker along with a sister, Frances Varner also precedes her. Survivors include two daughters; Amy Atkinson and her husband Chris of Calhoun, Linda Fossett and her husband Michael of Cartersville. One brother; Joe Walker of Tennessee . Seven grandchildren; Christopher, Craig and Jacob Atkinson, Lee and Amanda Mathis, Whitney and Brandon Fossett. One great-granddaughter; Alivia Leigh Mathis also survives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 5th at 1pm from the Belmont Baptist Church. With Rev. Jeff Hawkins and Rev. Joe York officiating. Music will be provided by Jim and Treva Seller and the Joyful Praise Ensemble. Burial will follow in the Roswell City Cemetery with Graveside rites at 4pm . Pallbearers severing include; Glenn Tindell, Ron Free, Gene Hufstettler, Clint Harris, Gene Paul, and Tommy Smith. These men are ask to meet at the church at 11:45am Monday. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4:30 pm and on Monday until 11:30 at which time Mrs. Mosteller will be taken to the church to lie instate from12 noon until the funeral hour. The family request that in lieu of flowers those that wish may make contributions to the Belmont Baptist Church Building Fund.
