Lydia Cothran Martin, age 77 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at PruittHealth Hospice of Jasper.

 

Lydia was born on August 19, 1945 in Hamilton County, TN, daughter of the late William Richard Cothran and Stella Eskew Cothran. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Roger Martin. Lydia was an active member of Victory Fellowship Church in Resaca.

 

Lydia is survived by: three children, Teresa Fain of Chatsworth, GA, Travis Richards of Lyman, SC and Phillip Richards of Taylors, SC; sister, Reba Gallman of Calhoun, GA; brother, Harold Cothran of Tennessee; special friend, Sonja Watkins of Ellijay, GA; six grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 9 AM until 10 AM at Thomas Funeral Home.

 

A celebration of the life of Lydia will be conducted on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Timms officiating.
