Margaret Bowman

Margaret Fuller Bowman, age 88 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at her residence. Margaret was born on April 18, 1931 in Gordon County, GA to the late Jessie Whitfield Fuller and Willie Belle Dutton Fuller. In addition to her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by: her husband, Carl Herman Bowman, JR; son, Ricky Bowman; and nine brothers and sisters, Clyde, Frances, Evelyn, Jessie, Billy, Leon, Lawrence, Fred, and Hardy. Margaret was a lifetime resident of Gordon County and was a member of East Calhoun Church of God. Margaret is survived by: her two daughters, Sherry Kirby and her husband Greg, and Gina Holbrook and her husband Ronnie; two grandchildren, Jeremy Kirby and his wife Bekah, and Savannah Hall and her husband Eric; and one great-granddaughter, Mila Hall. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, August 17th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Jeremy Kirby and Reverend Keith Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Erwin Hill Church of God Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Jim Ledbetter, Jeff Rampy, Phillip McDaniel, Gary Lanier, Anthony Magnum, and Paul Evans. Honorary Pallbearers are: Barbara Ledbetter, Kathy Rampy, Linda McDaniel, Diane Lanier, Candace Magnum, Cindy Evans, Cathy Nicholson, Linda Sutherland, Patty Reid, Clarence and Betty Calhoun, Marian and Jennifer Merritt, Linda Barber, Jerry and Naomie Couey, Helen Cooper, Judy Fuller, and John and Season Christian. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 AM until the funeral hour at 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
