Martha Richardson

Martha C. Richardson, age 88 of Calhoun, passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 1, 2019 at her residence. Martha was born on August 3, 1930 in Florala, AL to the late Neal and Elizabeth Cox. In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas Leon Richardson; and two brothers, N.L. Cox and Royce M. Cox. Martha has been a resident of Gordon County for the past 55 years, and was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church. Martha is survived by: three sons, Mark Richardson and his wife Brenda, David Richardson and his wife Tami, and John Richardson and his wife Rebecca; daughter, Donna Slater; brother, Jack Cox; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 13th at 4PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 PM until the memorial service at 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
