Marvin Lewis Waters

Marvin Lewis Waters, 77, of Kingston, passed away Friday evening, November 6th, in Piedmont Cartersville Hospital.

Lewis was born in Whitfield County on December 8, 1948, to Murtice Williams Long and the late Marvin Lewis Waters Sr. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. serving in Vietnam. Lewis loved to work in his garage restoring cars, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and later his moped. But the joy of his life was his family especially his grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Waters.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Waters, one son, Thomas Waters, two daughters, Tammy (Stuart) Willis, and Alana (Jake) Yarbrough. His Mother, Murtice William Long, and stepfather, C.M. Long. Grandchildren: Tommy Waters, Aaron Waters, Isaiah Waters, Eli Phillips, Landy Bell, Ryker Yarbrough, Tori Yarbrough, Isabella Willis, Braxton Willis, and Brice Willis. His five brothers: Craig (Pat) Long, Jeffrey (Sandra) Long, Paul (Melissa) Long, David (Kathy) Long, and Monty Long.
