Mary Sue Childers

Mary Sue Childers, age 71 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 at AdventHealth Gordon. 

Mary was born on April 21, 1952 in Uriah, Alabama, the daughter of the late Ike Lige Brown and Ethel Upton Brown. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Weldon “Buddy” Clyde Childers; one brother, Charles Vernon Brown; and two sisters, Alma Catherine Hendrix and Sharon Lyette Brown. Mary was a graduate of Blachsher High School and retired from Dalos Rugs. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, and antiques. Mary was a generous and courageous person who loved life and her family. 

Mary is survived by: two sisters, Margaret (Charles) Fulton, and Carolyn Joyce (Eric) Frye; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 11 AM in Fain Cemetery with Dr. Charles Fulton and Reverend Eric Frye officiating.
