Mary Sue Holbert Ford

 Mary Sue Holbert Ford, age 80 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at her residence.

Mary was born on July 18, 1943 in Floyd County, GA, the daughter of the late John Henry Holbert and Hattie Price Holbert. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by: two sons, David Dewayne Ford and Johnny Edward Ford; two brothers, Robert Holbert and Harold Holbert; and two sisters, Evelyn Green and Jean Hardin. She was a member of the Plainville Independent Methodist Church. 

Mary is survived by: her son, Keith (Darlene) Holbert; daughter, Deborah Stevens; special grandson, Will Stevens; additional grandchildren, Brandon Silvers, Erika Silvers, Kenneth Nix, Adam Nix, and Carter Nix; great-grandchildren, Wade Stepp and Paysleigh Stepp; brother, John (Martha) Holbert; two sisters, Barbara Penson and Joan Overby; special nephew, Brian Holbert; her special friend and caregiver, Emily Temple; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of the life of Mary will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2 PM from the Plainville Independent Methodist Church with Reverend William Ford and Reverend Ernie Woody officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Mountain Springs Church at 765 Chulio Road, SE, Rome, GA 30161.
