Mary S. Green

Mary S. Green, age 83 of Calhoun died at 10:30 PM, Saturday, November 20 at her residence.

She was born in Rhodell, West Virginia, October 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Reverend George E. Wood and Audrey Jane Murphy Wood. Mary also was preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Green, a son Gary Wayne Green, and a brother, John Wood, and sisters, Virginia Brooks and Barbara Wood. Mary had lived for many years in Calhoun and Gordon County and was a Baptist.

She is survived by her son Paul Green and his wife, Pamela of Calhoun; daughter, Rhonda Leah Neal of Calhoun; sisters, Marilyn Batcofski and her husband John of Shavertown, Pennsylvania and Mona Hart of Stella, Missouri; grandchildren, Victoria Jones(“Tori”), Amanda Bibbee, Gary Wayne Green, Jr., Josh Green, and Nathaniel Green; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 23 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Mitch Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 22 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
