Maxine Long McKinney, of Troy, MO, and formerly of Calhoun, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at the age of 74. 

Loving wife of Ronald Clifton McKinney; devoted mother to Kevin (Michelle) West, Kelli West, Juanita (Bruce) Swanson, Shannon (Angie) McKinney, Ronald McKinney II, Kevin McKinney, and Brandy McKinney; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many; her dear twin sister Margo (Ron) Johnson and her brother Johnny Long; and treasured aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert G. Long and Willie Mae Ingle Long, her brothers and sisters,  Mary Jane Long, Wayne Long, Ray Long, Curtis Long, Norman Long, June Dugger, Paulette Bagley, and Margaret Dean. 

Maxine proudly served her country in the United States Air Force, continuing a cherished family tradition of military service. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. A lifelong Baptist, she found a true church home at New Fellowship Baptist Church in Troy, Missouri, where she felt a deep sense of belonging and formed meaningful friendships, especially with Linda White. The two shared many joyful moments together, from shopping trips to canning food. Family was at the heart of everything Maxine did. As a twin, she shared an especially close bond with her sister Margo, speaking with her daily. She treasured time with her grandchildren, whether playing cards, sharing stories, or simply enjoying quiet moments together. A devoted patriot, Maxine carried a deep love for her country and her family in all that she did. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 23th from 4-8 pm CST at the funeral home.

Services to celebrate Maxine's the life will be conducted Tuesday, March 24th at 9:30am CST, at the Baue Funeral Home @ 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles, MO, 63301. With Burial to follow with Military Honor afforded by the United States Air Force.   

Memorials may be made in Maxine's name to the American Cancer Society.
