Michael A. Erwin

Michael A. Erwin, age 73 of Calhoun, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his residence. Michael was born on July 23, 1944 in Gordon County to the late Alton Watts Erwin and Bonnell Gravitt Erwin. In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Barbara Hunt Erwin; and sister, Betty Davis. He was a member of Sonoraville Baptist Church, and prior to his retirement worked as a dairy farmer. Michael loved all of his grandchildren, and looked forward to a daily car ride with his grandson, Hunter. He was an avid supporter of Autism Speaks. Michael is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Marty Couch of Chatsworth, Dana and Dewayne Brake of Calhoun, and Drena Erwin of Calhoun; and four grandchildren, Kelsey Dixon, Nash Couch, Hunter Brake, and Cole Wilkins. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, February 23rd at 6 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Mitch Phillips officiating.
