Michael Nation

Michael Nation, age 37 of Ranger, passed away suddenly Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his residence. Michael was born on May 22, 1980 in Rome, GA to Gregory Bart Nation and Lisa Smith Shaw. He was a member of Miracle Temple and Victory Hollow. Michael is preceded in death by a sister, Lacy Silvers. In addition to his parents, Gregory Bart Nation of Calhoun and Lisa Smith Shaw of Fairmount, he is survived by his wife, Tasha Nation of Ranger; daughter, Mackenzie Nation; two brothers, Lee Russell of Fairmount and Tyler. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16th at 12 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Adrian Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Miracle Temple Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Austin Mealor, Jamie Robertson, Haley O’Neil, Josh Mulkey, Jason Cronan, Glenn Cronan, John Thomas, Adam Summerville and Riley Stevens. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14th from 5 PM until 8 PM and Tuesday, August 15th from 3 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made for funeral expenses.
