Mike Boyd

Mike Boyd, age 56 of Calhoun, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 in Redmond Regional Hospital. Mike was born May 2, 1961 in Chicago, IL, son of Jesse L. Boyd and Joyce Seeds Boyd. He was employed as a satellite technician with AT&T at the time of his death. He was a dedicated husband and father who loved his family. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Chicago Bears. Mike loved the outdoors and his hobbies were fishing and bowling. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife; Joyce A. Boyd, three sons; Michael Boyd, Jr. and his finance Kayla, Brandon Boyd, and Edward Boyd, one daughter; Theresa Carney and her husband Bubba all of Calhoun, two brothers; Randy Boyd and Brian Boyd, and one sister; Jennifer Selden all of Chicago. Five grand children also survive. A celebration of the life of Mike Boyd will be conducted at 5pm Saturday February 3rd from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Adam Silvers officiating. Family will receive friends from 3pm until 5pm prior to the service.
