Mildred C. Henderson

Tuesday, July 25, 2006 Mrs. Mildred C. Henderson age 80, of 657 Henderson Bend Rd. , Calhoun, died Monday evening in the Gordon Hospital following several weeks of declining health. Mildred was born in Ranger, Ga. on April 15, 1926 daughter of the late Floyd and Rae Horton Chastain and was a life long resident of Gordon County. She was a member of the Damascas Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries. Survivors include her husband John S. Henderson of Calhoun, four sons and daughters-in-law; Bruce and Charlene Henderson, Nathan Henderson, Micky and Yvonne Henderson and Chip and Cheryl Henderson all of Calhoun. Nine grandchildren; India, Kelly, Jason, Jay, Misty, Chris, Joshua, Cassie , and Carlie. nine great-grandchildren; Madison, Mallory, Allie, Gabe, Gavin, Ty, Drew, Kaylee and Evan along with a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at1:00 P.M. Wednesday July 26th. 2006 from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon, Rev. Larry Naylor and Rev. Brian Priest officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Chip, Micky, Bruce, Nathan, Brock and Jeff Henderson and Gerald Murphy and thay are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. today (Tuesday). Wesley Roach and Michelle Taylor will have charge of the music.
