Myrtle Callahan Davis

Myrtle Callahan Davis, age 84 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Myrtle was born on January 22, 1940 in Bartow County, GA, the daughter of the late John F. Callahan and Mary Jane Whitener Callahan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Earl Davis; and son, James Randall Davis. Before her retirement, Myrtle worked for Mannington Mills and later went to work as a greeter for Wal-Mart. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, shopping, and crocheting. Myrtle lived for her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Myrtle is survived by: two sons, Keith (Cindy) Davis and Ken Davis; three grandchildren, Sarah Davis (Zach) Lecker, Dr. Cameron Davis, and Hillary Davis; two great-grandchildren, Miles Lecker and Margot Lecker; one sister, Mary Ann (Danny) Bell; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jerry and Carolyn Jackson. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Shane Parrott officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers serving are: Zach Lecker, Tim Roe, Jerry Jackson, Dr. Cameron Davis, Connor Hensley, and Tim Allen.
