Patricia Kirk Lewis

Patricia (Pat) Kirk Lewis (92) of Calhoun died peacefully surrounded by her family on May 25, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She devoted her life to her husband Don Owens (Billy) Lewis during their fifty-eight years of marriage. He preceded her in death as did her parents J.L. Kirk and Ruby Kirk Cox, and her siblings Carolyn Kirk Prickett and Robert C. Kirk.

Pat was born February 21, 1934. She grew up in Tunnel Hill, Georgia and attended Dalton High School. She will be remembered by her gifts of hospitality as she always enjoyed cooking, and often welcomed friends and family into her home no matter the occasion. Pat was an active member of the Calhoun First United Methodist Church and in keeping with her gifts of hospitality was often found in the church kitchen or preparing meals for numerous church and community functions in her own kitchen. While she enjoyed traveling throughout the USA, through the Panama Canal, and to Canada, to Mexico, to Europe, and to Russia with her husband, she was most content at their own hearth and home.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Lewis, her daughter Lori Lewis Ethridge (Tom Hall) her son Lindsay Lewis (Sarah) her grandchildren Lindsay Ethridge (Will James), Graves Ethridge (Julia), David Ethridge, Grant Lewis (LizAnne Wise) and Lillie Lewis along with her three great grandchildren Ruby McCarron, and Liam and Josephine Ethridge and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express deep appreciation to the entire staff at The Fountains in Calhoun, especially to those who cared so tenderly for Pat during her years in memory care. The family is grateful for the kind and gracious support of Homespun Hospice as well.

The interment will be private, and the memorial service will be held at the Calhoun First United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 3:30pm with the Rev. Jeremy Noffsinger and the Rev. Lori Ethridge officiating. Prior to the service the family will begin receiving relatives and friends at 2:00pm in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Calhoun First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Emory Brain Health Center Directors Fund.
