Patricia "Pattye" Stewart Rawls

Patricia "Pattye" Joan Stewart Rawls, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on July 12 in 
Advent Gordon Hospital at age 90.

Patty was born June 13, 1934, in Akron, Ohio; she was the daughter of  the late Guy and Pearl Stewart. 
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe W. Rawls and her son, Robert Rawls. She was a proud graduate of Sonoraville  High School and a member of the New Echota Methodist Church.

Pattye cherished time with her family and friends. She will be be remembered for her quick wit, infectious laughter, amazing cooked meals, and loving heart.

Pattye is survived by her children, Guy (Linda) Rawls, Alma (Matt) Massingill, Perry (Gina) Rawls, Jennie (Ben) Stephens. and Kaye Rawls; her grandchildren, Allison Massingill, Lauren (Grayson) Mathewson, ,Jackson (Abbey) Selvidge, Will Rawls, Katie Rose Rawls, and Charlie (Amanda) Stephens; her great grandchildren, Gray, Mollie Kate, Beau, Lucia, Jordan, Roman, and her special friends Ryan Ertle and John Long.

The family would like to thank the staff of Advent Gordon Hospital, Homespun Hospice, and the Fountains for their compassion and exceptional care.

A celebration of life service will be held at Oakleigh (Gordon County Historical Society) on Saturday, July 20 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
