Ms. Peggy Jane Pate, of Calhoun, Ga, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at her residence.

Ms. Pate was born in Calhoun, daughter of the late Ezra Calvin Pate and Hattie Harper Pate. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: her son, Charles Gregory Lynch, and her sisters, Alice Pate French, Betty Ann Pate, and Evelyn Ann Pate. She was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. She was also the owner of Artistic Designs by Peggy, where she made lovely floral arrangements for the community.

Survivors include one son, Phillip David Lynch Jr. of Eatonton, Ga. Two daughters, Regina Sue Sowell (Joe) of Calhoun and Sabrina Lynch Gutherie (Kerry) of Acworth, Ga. Ms. Pate is also survived by ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 3 PM at the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home, with Dr. John Barber officiating. The family will receive friends at the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home from 1- 3 p.m., preceding the funeral.

Pallbearers are Matthew Powell, Christopher Powell, Jason Evans, Zach Stidham, Shane DeFreitas, and Nathan Guthrie.
