Ralph Edwin Gray

Ralph Edwin Gray, age 85, of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Calhoun Health Care. Ralph was born on November 21, 1931 to the late Riley H. Gray and Etta Mae Crump. Ralph was employed by Carriage Industries for more than 20 years. After his retirement he was employed by the Piggly Wiggly. Ralph was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a member of the Oothcaloga Lodge #154. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Malcom, Roy, Odel, Walter, Ford and James Gray, Annie Gray, Julie Crowe and Geraldine Brookshire. He is survived by his wife, Lois Nell Peace of Calhoun; two daughters, Donna Gray Talley of Cleburne, TX and Sharon Gray of Dalton; a step-son, Mike Stone of Calhoun; brothers, Pat Gray of Hampton, Ga and Charles Gray of Jasper, GA; Sister-in-laws, Susie Gray of Calhoun and Rita Gray of Nyack, NY; four grandchildren, Ryan Talley and his wife Rebecca, Justin Talley, Jonathan Stone and Laura Beth Bunch and her husband Seth; four great-grandchildren, Madeline Talley, Coraline Talley, LaylaMae Bunch and Millie Bunch. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Hibberts officiating. Burial will follow at Gordon Memorial Gardens, Reverend Seth Bunch will have charge of Graveside Rites. Deacons of Antioch will serve as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 4:00 PM–7:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
