Randy Lee Shepherd

Randy Lee Shepherd, age 65 of Calhoun, passed away on Saturday, January 16th at his residence. Randy was born on May 30, 1955 in Gordon County to the late R.V. Shepherd, and Evelyn Louise Shepherd. He was employed by the Gordon County Road Department for 40 years as a Foreman. Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Johnnie Mae Shepherd; brother, Ronald Shepherd, Sr.; sister, Elaine Thomas. He is survived by a son, Michael Shepherd; brother, Garry Shepherd, Sr., three grandchildren, Devlyn Shepherd, Erika Shepherd, and Xander Shepherd; many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 18th from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Roy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are: Steven Dunn, Jr., Isaac Logan, Wayne Bradley, Jimmy Bradley, Ronald Shepherd, Jr., and Dylan Bradley. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 18th at Thomas Funeral Home from 1 PM until the funeral hour of 3.
