Raymond Louis Davis

Raymond Louis Davis, age 82 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at AdventHealth Redmond.

Raymond was born on March 28, 1941, in Gordon County, GA, the son of the late Oscar and Ella Mae Davis. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Davis; sister-in-law, Sandra Underwood; brother-in-law, Donald Sloan; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Davis. He worked for Dow Chemical before his retirement. Raymond later opened Evergreen Pawn in Adairsville where he was the owner and operator for over 25 years. 

Raymond is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Claudette Davis; son, Chris Davis; two daughters, Tammy (Tommy) Sheppard and Lindsey Davis (Dianna) Depinto; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Larry) Black; sister-in-law, Jayne Davis; brothers-in-law, Marshall Sloan, Ronnie Sloan, and Jimmy Underwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Raymond will be held at a later date.
