Ronald “Ronnie” “Ron” Jackson Queen, 73, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on December 3rd, 2025, after an abrupt illness. Ron was born on August 11, 1952. After graduating from high school in Bradley County, TN, he went on to study Engineering at the University of Tennessee. Go Vols! After earning his Engineering degree from UT, Ron pursued a lifelong career as a computer engineer, working for several companies across Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia. He retired in 2015 after more than 20 years with Automated Logic in Kennesaw, Georgia. In 1985, Ron met Noreen Roark, to whom he promised he would make “Royalty”—telling her, “I can make you a Queen for life if you’ll marry me.” Two years after they married, Ron became a father to Bailie Anne Queen, born June 3rd, 1988. On March 26th, 1991, Ron and Noreen joyfully expanded their family again with the arrival a second King of Queens, their son, Matthew Jacob Queen. In 2010, Ron, Noreen, Bailie, and Matthew warmly welcomed Shana Cagle as an integral part of their family. A lifelong Volunteer, Ron dedicated his life to the service of others. Early retirement allowed him to devote himself to the daily care of his first-born granddaughter, Nora Greeson; to serve his church through men’s small groups and the Back Pack Buddies ministry (packing and delivering weekly to local schools); and to lovingly care for his cherished bride throughout her battle with cancer. Ron loved his family above all else and never missed an opportunity to express his pride in each of his children and grandchildren. All who knew him described him as profoundly selfless in both character and action. His life’s purpose was rooted in the betterment of those around him. Some of the most genuine and uplifting ways he connected with others were through his love of Christ, his joyous sense of humor, and his delight in anything involving a chocolate treat. Pallbearers will be Sam Welty, Kevin Queen, Cody Greeson, Andrew Hooper, Tim Hooper, and Chris Scott. Honorary pallbearer will be Art Queen. Ron will be remembered as a gentle strength, a joyful spirit, and a faithful servant whose love lifted everyone around him. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion.
