Rueben Lindsay Sheron, age 76 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 surrounded by his family at AdventHealth Gordon.

 

Lindsay was born on June 14, 1945 in Danville, Kentucky, son of the late James T. Sheron and Ruby Pearl Hopper Sheron. In addition to his parents, Lindsay was also preceded in death by: two brothers, Jim Sheron and Bobby Sheron; two sisters, Marjorie Gantt and Dorothy Killion; one grandson, Ray Hardin; and one daughter, Bethany Sheron. Lindsay was a veteran of the United States Navy. He has been a resident of Gordon County, GA for the past 19 years and was a member of Newtown Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, golfing and spending time with his dogs Betsy, KC and Sally. Lindsay loved spending time with friends and family.

 

Lindsay is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Betty Harrison Sheron; five sons, Bryan Sheron, Tommy Irvin and his wife Katrine, Johnny Blair, Seaburn Blair and his wife Pam, and Brandon Parris; four daughters, Gina Renee Sheron, Paula Musgrove and her husband Rickey, Rhonda Hardin and her husband Shelby of Danville, KY, and Dianna Wilburn and her husband Billy of Danville, KY; one brother, Raymond Sheron and his wife Beverly; grandchildren, Heather Bennett and her husband TJ, Jocelyn Satterfield and her husband Cory, Johnny Blair III and his wife Keisha, Kelsey Blair, Jamie Blair, Justus Glass and his wife Katrina, Johnny Paul Cummins and his wife Haley, Jared Cummins and his wife Sheyenne, Kyra Sheron, Sam Crawley and his wife Jessica, Gabriel Sheron, Christopher Irvin, Jessica Irvin, Alexandra Irvin, Nicholas Irvin, Ashley Fields, Shawna Carmicle, Mikey Sinkhorn, and Mandy Sivis; and great-grandchildren, Kalyn Bennett, Landon Bennett, Olivia Blair, Mason Blair, and Kyndal Glass.

 

Interment with military honors will be announced at a later date.
