Salomee Sikander, age 47, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. Born on July 12, 1979, in Lahore, Pakistan, she was the beloved daughter of Gulzar Sikander and Mariam Fatima. Salomee will be remembered for her deep Roman Catholic faith, her devotion to her family, her generous heart, and her lifelong commitment to serving others.
Salomee received her early education at Franciscan Girls High School in Bahar Colony, Kot Lakhpat, Lahore. She continued her studies at Model Town Degree College, where she earned her associate and bachelor's degrees, before completing her master's degree in Political Science at Punjab University. She valued education and lifelong learning and carried those values throughout her life.
Salomee dedicated 21 years of service to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), where she completed extensive training across multiple departments. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and professional experience made her a valued member of the organization. She also shared her voice and faith through her work with Radio Veritas, where her live programs reached listeners in Pakistan and the Philippines. She enjoyed traveling, particularly remembering her trips to Dubai, and had a special fondness for cars and driving. She took pride in owning her own car and scooter, which represented her independence and love of life.
Above all, Salomee cherished her family. She shared a close bond with her parents and siblings and spent ten meaningful years living with her sister, Tasneem, who served as principal of St. Francis High School. As the fifth of six siblings, she held a special place in the hearts of her family: Naseem Sikander, Tasneem Sikander, Razia Sikander, Andrew Saleem Sikander, and Eric Sikander.
A devoted Roman Catholic, Salomee found comfort and strength in her faith. She faithfully prayed the Holy Rosary each day and lived according to the values of compassion, kindness, and service. Quietly and without seeking recognition, she offered financial, emotional, and spiritual support to individuals and families in need. Her generosity was an expression of her love for God and her concern for others.
For many years, Salomee held onto the hope of joining her loved ones in the United States through family-based immigration. She longed to visit her father and be near family and friends who had settled there. One of her deepest wishes was to be laid to rest beside her beloved father. Through the love and determination of her family, that final wish will be fulfilled.
Salomee's life was marked by faith, perseverance, and an enduring love for her family. Though she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, her memory will live on through the lives she touched, the kindness she shared, and the faith that guided her journey.
Salomee will be laid to rest beside her father at Chandler Cemetery on October 27, 2026 at 1 PM with Reverend Jeremy Noffsinger officiating.
May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved father in the loving presence of God.
