Scott Lambert

Scott Lambert, age 63, of Ranger, passed away on Saturday, August 15th, at Advent Gordon Hospital.

Born on January 6, 1963, in Gordon County, Scott was the son of the late James "Jimmy" Lambert and Wylene Neal Lambert. A proud graduate of Calhoun High School, Class of 1981, he excelled in both football and wrestling. He continued his education at West Georgia College. Scott dedicated eight years to the Gordon County Board of Education and remained an engaged community member. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing softball and bowling throughout his life. He was a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and an active participant in political discussions as a Republican Party member.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Lamar Lambert, and his father-in-law, Truitt Wilburn Moss.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amber Moss Lambert; his son, Tyler Lambert, and his wife Stephanie; his daughter, Anna Lambert Evans, and her husband Justin "Doc"; grandchildren Kherington Jones and soon-to-arrive Ella Grace Lambert. Also surviving are his brother, Billy Lambert, and his wife Terri; his sister, Cindy Lambert; and his mother-in-law, Yvonne Moss.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19th, at 2 p.m. at the Thomas Funeral Home chapel, officiated by Rev. Lamar Bearden. The burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers include Paul Defoor, Justin "Doc" Evans, Tyler Lambert, Courtney Taylor, Mark Bramlett, and Truitt Moss III.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening, August 18th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
