Mrs. Sharon Diane Blevins Wingate, age 78 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, at her residence.
Mrs. Wingate was born in Ringgold, Georgia, on January 5th, 1948, a daughter of the late James Blevins and the late Cecile Powell Blevins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Thornton. Mrs. Wingate was a woman whose love knew no bounds. She graduated from Ringgold High School and later retired from Ga Tufters. Even after retirement, she continued working cleaning houses and was a very hard worker. She was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church and cherished her church family deeply. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to share the gospel, encourage someone in need, or invite others to church. She had a heart for adventure and a love for traveling. She explored all across the United States, but her favorite memories were made visiting the Holy Land and Hawaii. She loved relaxing at the beach during the summer and admiring the beauty of the mountains in the fall. She was a food connoisseur and was always ready for the next meal. More than anything, she loved her family with all her heart. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a friend to everyone she met. She loved everybody and everything, and the memories she created with us will forever be remembered.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sabrina Lindsey and her husband, Jerry and Rachel Reynolds (George Forte); one son, Stacy Reynolds; six grandchildren, Zach Reynolds, Sydney Reynolds, Chelsea Reynolds, Ciera Relea, Colton Lindsey, and Gus Roberts; several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 29th, 2026, at 3 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Gus Roberts, Ryder Roberts, Jerry Lindsey, Colton Lindsey, George Forte, and Cole Turner.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 28th from 4 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home and again on Friday, May 29th from 11 AM until 1 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made American Heart Association.
