Mrs. Shelba Wilbanks Causby

Mrs. Shelba Wilbanks Causby, age 87 of Resaca, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Causby was born in Gordon County on March 7th, 1939, a daughter of the late Fred Wilbanks and the late Bonnie Dodd Wilbanks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Bobby E. Causby; one brother, Charles Wilbanks. Mrs. Causby graduated from Calhoun High School and retired from Outboard Marine Corporation after many years working on the assembly line. As a devoted pastor's wife, she faithfully answered Christ's call throughout her life and served alongside her husband as they pastored churches over the years. She was dedicated to her church and was always there every time the doors were open. She loved spending time with her family and church family. She enjoyed camping with her grandchildren, gardening, and making memories with those she loved. She was a faithful member of Damascus Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Keisha Causby; one sister, Doris Brown; two grandchildren, Austin Causby (Gabby) and Hanna Waldroup (Josh); six grandchildren, Declan, Dash, Dax, Isabella, Annabelle, and Teddy.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 19th, 2026, at 11 AM at Damascus Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Trivette officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Tim Rowe, Brock Henderson, Austin Causby, Josh Waldroup, Mike Nance, and Randy Wheat.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 18th, from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
