Mrs. Sherrie Roberts Stroup, age 82 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at Erlanger Hospital.
Mrs. Stroup was born in Floyd County, Georgia on August 25th, 1943, a daughter of the late Freeman Roberts Sr. and the late Ouida Talley Roberts. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Worley Samson; one aunt, Betty Vance. Sherrie and her brother, Barry, grew up on the family farm as children, where she learned the value of working hard and being successful. She was the kind of woman who could walk into any room and instantly fill it with light. Her charisma was undeniable—people were naturally drawn to her warmth, her confidence, and the way she made everyone feel important. She possessed a rare gift for inspiring others, and she used that gift generously throughout her life. For over forty years, she owned and operated Merle Norman, pouring her heart into helping women feel beautiful inside and out. Over the years, she built and ran many other businesses, each one fueled by her dedication, creativity, and unmatched work ethic. In her earlier years, she thrived in AmWay, achieving diamond-level status and building an incredibly loyal following. Everything she touched seemed to flourish because she lived with excellence at the center of all she did. Family meant everything to her. Christmas Day at her home was unforgettable—the warmth, the sparkle, the joy she created were second to none. She had the most elegant handwriting, a reflection of her grace and attention to detail. Her faith anchored her, and she loved attending Mt. Paran Church of God whenever she could. She loved to travel and was surrounded throughout her life by a devoted circle of close friends, especially Carolyn Clark, who remained steadfast by her side. Her world was full of beauty—her homes, her clothes, her cars—everything was immaculate, a true reflection of her refined taste and flair. Entertaining was one of her greatest joys. She could host a party like no one else, creating memories people would talk about for years. Her grandsons were the lights of her life. They lived with her when they were young, and the bond they shared with her was deep and unbreakable. She was also the most loving aunt to her only niece, Nikki, showering her with affection and support.
She adored her Shih Tzu dogs, always groomed to perfection and treated with the utmost care. Her favorite, Zsa Zsa, held a special place in her heart. Her presence was unforgettable. Her love was generous. Her impact was lasting. She lived a life full of beauty, faith, friendship, and devotion—and she will be cherished forever by all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlee Worley Pruett; two grandsons, Garrett Worley Pruett and Cory Grant Worley (Carmen); one brother, Barry Roberts; three great-grandchildren, Bentley, Maverick, and Lincoln; niece, Nikki Roberts Fain (Brannon); great nieces and nephew, Madeline Murray, Reilly Fain, and Jackson Murray; a host of cousins and extended family.
