Mrs. Tara Yvette Hester

Mrs. Tara Yvette Hester, age 42 of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 26th, 2026.

Tara was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 18th, 1983, a daughter of Steven R. Maheux and Diane C. Sanchez-Maheux. After graduating high school, Tara pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration and previously worked for a local law firm. While she enjoyed her career, her greatest joy was found in being a stay-at-home mother and caring for her family. She had a creative spirit and loved crafting—especially making personalized book collages for family and friends and creating beautiful scrapbooks. Tara was a faithful member of Calhoun Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse D. Hester; three children, Jesse, Jacob, and Emily Hester; mother, Diane Sanchez-Maheux; father, Steven Maheux; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 8th, 2026, at 3 PM at Calhoun Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Glenn Aguirre officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8th, from 2 PM until 3 PM at the church.
