Thomas Charles Byars, SR, age 64 of Resaca, GA, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026 at AdventHealth Gordon.
Thomas was born on August 9, 1961 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Charles Byars and Birdie Jones Byars. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a his son, Thomas Byars, JR. Thomas loved to tinker and was known for being able to fix just about anything. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially taking walks and appreciating the simple things in life.
Thomas is survived by: three daughters, Jessica Byars, Sherry Ivey, and Crystal Byars; two sisters, Patricia Wells and Sandy Blake; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will have a celebration of Thomas's life at a later date.
