Thomas Zygmond Sobolewski

Thomas Zygmond Sobolewksi, age 94 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at his residence.

Thomas was born on December 6, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Zygmond Sobolewski and Alvina Wolazak Sobolewski. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Catholic faith.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Zulema “Lucy” Sobolewski; son, Thomas “Tommy” Sobolewski and his wife Tina; daughter, Darlene Sobolewski Gabbard and her husband Eddie; two grandsons, Glenn Stout and his wife Mindy, and Michael Stout; sister, Constance Keighron; and special family members, Ted Sobolewski, Teddy, Jr. and Susan Sobolewski, Linda Sobolewski and Walter Ziser, Debbie Sobolewski and Joe Barnes, Bettie Sobolewski Eugenil, Greg Sobolewski, Terri Ranne, Louie Sobolewski, Bobby Sobolewski, and Fred Sobolewski; and many additional great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 10 AM until 12:30 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 2 PM in the Georgia National Cemetery with military honors.
