Thurman Alfred Freeman, JR

Thurman Alfred Freeman, JR, age 73 of Sugar Valley, GA, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Thurman was born on August 12, 1948 in Whitfield County, GA, son of the late Thurman Alfred Freeman, SR and Nora Lue Henderson Freeman. Thurman was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He was an active member and assistant pastor of Cross Roads Community Church and loved to listen to gospel music and play guitar. Prior to his retirement, Thurman worked at a chicken hatchery for over 20 years.

Thurman is survived by: his wife, Wanda Easley Freeman of Sugar Valley, GA; son, Charles Alfred (Christina) Freeman of Sugar Valley, GA; two daughters, Sue Ann Freeman (Jeff) Bowling of Calhoun, GA and Lisa Freeman (Misael) Castejon of Rome, GA; one brother, Roland (Karen) Freeman of Calhoun, GA; four sisters, Dottie Sue (Bob) Casson, Kathy (Leonard) Stanely, Geraldine (Donny) Trammell, and Shelia (Johnny) Brooks all of Villanow, GA; eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Patton officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
