Timothy "Tim" Kinsey, beloved member of the community and a dedicated professional in the flooring industry, passed away on October 25, 2023, at the Medical University of South Carolina. He was born on August 30, 1969, in Whitfield County, son of Katherine Marcus Kinsey and the late Eugene Otis Kinsey. Tim worked as a commercial hardsurface flooring designer with Shaw Industries for over 25 years.

Tim graduated from Murray County High School in 1987. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Dalton State College. Throughout his career, he demonstrated remarkable skill and creativity in designing beautiful and unique flooring solutions for countless customers.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tim cherished spending time with his family dearly. He was known for his deep love and devotion to his wife, Amber Clark Kinsey, and their three children: Reagan, Maxwell, and Emmie. Whether it was attending their school events or sharing quality time together at home, Tim always made sure to prioritize family bonds.

When he wasn't dedicating himself to work or family life, Tim enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Additionally, Tim had a passion for collecting comic books and indulging in superhero movies—his excitement for the stories and characters was infectious and also shared by his kids.

He loved being a member of the Murray County High School Marching Band during his time as a student. His dedication to music resonated deeply with him throughout his life.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Amber Clark Kinsey, their children Reagan, Maxwell, and Emmie; his mother, Katherine Marcus Kinsey, as well as his brother Kenneth Kinsey and his wife Melinda, and sister Joy Davenport. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Ann and Roger Clark, along with his brother-in-law Ryan Clark. Tim's extended family include his nephew Adam Jones, niece Fantasia Gallman and her husband Allen, nephew Jordon Davenport and his wife Ali, as well as his great-niece Molly Gallman and great-nephews Logan Jones and Bo Gallman.

To honor and celebrate Tim's life, funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 31st at 11:00 AM from Sonoraville Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Marcus officiating. Jordan Davenport will have charge of the music. Burial will follow in Gaines Cemetery with Ryan Clark, Adam Jones, Josh Kinsey, Ron Marcus, Barry Gilley , and Jason Gilley serving as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his many friends from Murray County High School Class of 1987 and his Shaw Industries coworkers that were like family (you know who you are!).

The family will receive friends Monday, October 30, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sonoraville Baptist Church and also on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
