Sunday, January 07, 2007 Mr. Tramel Scott, age 70 of 802 Webber Rd, the Plainville, Community died Saturday January 6th. at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Scott was born in Gordon County on July 31, 1936 son of the late Albert Franklin and Stella Holsomback Scott and had lived his entire life here. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church and was employed at Trend Mills for 26 years and prior to his retirement was the Owner of the S & B Quik Shop in Scottsville for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Navy and in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife; Freda Boston Scott and a sister Laverne Toles. Survivors include two sons; Bron Scott and his wife Judy of Sonoraville, and Dutch Scott and his wife April of Plainville, one brother and sister-in-law; Max and Pam Scott of the Scottsville Community,a brother-in-law; Porter Toles of Calhoun and four grandchildren; Brittany, Jonathan, Hannah and Lauren Scott. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday January 8th. from the Plainville Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Webster officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot at the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Roger, Troyer, and Kelly Scott, Andy Toles, Bo Nicholson and Brent Boston and these gentlemen are asked to meet at the Unity Baptist Church in Plainville at 12:45 P.M. Monday. Honorary escort will be Jim Franklin, Billy Thomas, J.B. Garlin, Travis Goswick and Blake Nicholson and these gentlemen are asked to meet at the Church at 1:45 P.M. Monday. On Monday the body of Mr. Scott will be carried to the Church to lie instate from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Music will be arranged by Lisa Bain, Wes Ardiel and Gerald Nicholson. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. today (Sunday). The family requests that in addition to flowers contributions be made to the Jordan Roberts Fund % Ga. Bank and Trust or Jim Franklin.
