Bill Crowder

William R. “Bill” Crowder, Jr., age 89, of Adairsville, passed away Monday morning April 8th at AdventHealth Redmond. 

Bill was born on December 11, 1934, in Meriweather County, Georgia, the son of the late William Rutherford Crowder and Willie Edgar Fuller Crowder. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired welder with Atlantic Steel. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Marie Minton Crowder.

Survivors include his four children, Denise Stephenson and her husband Jerry, Darlene Buchanan and her husband Jerry, Becky Murray, and George W. “Chip” Murray, his brother, Robert L. Crowder, two sisters, Mary Elizabeth “Sis” Wall, and Barbara C. Rogers. Six grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Buchanan Jr. (and his wife, Amy), Wesley James Buchanan (and his wife, Kim), Jena Marie Tribble (and her husband Jonathan), William Seth Murray (and his wife, DeeAnn), Mathew Jake McLemore (and his wife, Kristin), and Beth Denise Faircloth, nine great-grandchildren, Nathan Murray Buchanan, Carlie Ann Buchanan, Juliet McKenize Tribble, Kayden Murray, Brailey Faircloth, Hunter Faircloth, Sean Faircloth, Xavier McLemore, Dylan Rackley, Tamra Crider, and Logan McLemore. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 12^th at 4 pm in Eastview Cemetery in Adairsville with Rev. Ed Archer officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 pm until 3:15 pm at the funeral home.
