William Harold Jones

William Harold Jones, age 85 of Plainville, passed away on Saturday, May 15th at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Harold was born on August 31, 1935 in Gordon County to the late Dennis Jones and Edna Lou Slaughter Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce where he spent 13 ½ years. After his honorable service for the United States, he worked for Mohawk. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Jones; brothers, Doyle Jones, Jack Jones and J.B. Slaughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Candious Brake, and son-in-law, Jeff Brake; grandchild, William Dewayne Brake, and a great-grandchild, William Hunter Brake.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 18th at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Damascus Cemetery with the Dalton American Legion affording Military Honors.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 17th from 5 PM until 7 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
